About the Founder

ShuBu Creative was founded in 2018 when Becca Cooper Leebove followed her dream of agency ownership, but only after first making good on a promise she’d made to herself in her early 20s: to gain as much marketing experience as she possibly could AND rise to the coveted VP of Marketing position in a major organization first.

Leveraging 20 years experience leading marketing teams and large brand initiatives at Vail Resorts, PorchLight Real Estate Group, Starz Entertainment, Regis University, and other Denver ad agencies, Becca decided to pursue her dream of agency ownership in 2018.

The name ShuBu is derived from Becca’s children’s nicknames as babies “Shu Shu” and “Bu Bu.” Her kids being her key why just made sense, plus the name was original and no one else had it in the industry. She then learned that ShuBu also has special meanings in other cultures, which fit the agency well, "my love" in Indian and “the main thing” in Japanese. Both deep themes in the world of branding. Becca has been awarded the Outstanding Women in Business by the Denver Business Journal named a Top 100 Influencer in Marketing and Advertising.
